Use the Activity tab to view a chronological feed of Newsflashes, Challenges, and Insights from you and related players. This article shows you how to filter, interact with, and repost activities.

  1. Navigate to the Activity tab in Hoopla.
  2. Review the chronological feed that includes:
    • Your previously triggered Newsflashes
    • Posted Newsflashes from players assigned the same newsflashes as you or newsflashes you’re watching
    • Updates about your Challenges and Challenges between other players on your Leaderboard(s)
    • Insights on Leaderboards you are a player on or watching
  1. Locate the filter checkboxes next to the Activity feed.
  2. Select one or more categories to filter by:
    • Newsflashes
    • Challenges
    • Insights
    • Your activities only
  3. The feed updates to show only the selected categories.
  1. Click the Like button below any activity to like it. Click again to remove your like.
  2. Hover over the number of likes to see who has liked the activity.
  3. Click the Comment button to add a comment (limited to 120 characters).

Reposting fires a Newsflash on the TV again. This feature requires admin-configured permissions.

  1. In the Activity section, filter your feed by “Newsflashes” to locate the Newsflash you want to repost.
  2. Locate the Repost button at the bottom of the Newsflash detail, next to the Like and Comment buttons.
  3. Click Repost.
  4. You will see a success banner, and the Newsflash will fire on the TV channel if you are near one.

Replaying opens a personal browser preview of a Newsflash without firing it on the TV.

  1. Locate the Newsflash you want to review.
  2. Click the Replay button at the bottom of the Newsflash detail.
  3. A new browser window opens and plays the Newsflash.
  • Your Activity feed displays filtered activities based on your selections.
  • Likes and comments appear below the activities you interacted with.
  • For reposted Newsflashes, you see a success banner and the Newsflash fires on nearby TVs.
  • For replayed Newsflashes, a new browser window opens showing the Newsflash.

Cannot see the Repost button: By default, only admins listed as players or watchers on the Newsflash can repost. Your admin must adjust permissions settings within each Newsflash configuration to allow non-admins to repost.

Activity feed shows unexpected content: Verify your filter selections. The feed shows activities from players assigned the same content as you or content you are watching.

To Do section is empty: The To Do area only displays items waiting for your action, such as personalizing Newsflashes and responding to Challenges. If you have no pending actions, this section will be empty.
