Display web pages on your screens

Show any public website on your screens with the free Web Pages app, and see why some sites won't load or scroll.

KB-01749 steps Last verified

Use the Web Pages application when you need to display any public website on your Displai screens. This is included free with all Displai accounts and requires no additional activation.

  1. From your Library, click the + icon to create a new presentation.
  2. Click the Web Pages thumbnail.
  3. Enter a descriptive name for your presentation so you can easily find it later.
  4. Enter the full URL of the web page you want to display.
  5. Set the duration for how long the presentation should display (default is 60 seconds).
  6. Click Save and then Done.
  7. Add the presentation to your playlist.
  8. Assign the playlist to your desired screens.
  9. Click Publish to send the content to your screens.

Your web page should appear on the assigned screens within a few moments of publishing. The page will display for the duration you specified before advancing to the next item in your playlist.

The website doesn’t appear in preview or on screens

Some websites block embedding in iframes through X-Frame-Options configuration. If the website doesn’t load, this is the most common cause. You’ll need to choose a different website or contact the website owner to allow iframe embedding.

The website requires login credentials

Authentication is not supported for websites that require users to log in first. You can only display publicly accessible web pages.

The website doesn’t display correctly on the device

Some websites may not work correctly on the device due to on-device cache limitations. Try clearing your device cache or choosing a different website.

Content below the fold isn’t visible

Websites with large amounts of content that extend below the visible area will not auto-scroll. Only the content visible in the initial viewport will display. Choose websites designed for single-screen display or adjust the website layout if you control the source.
