Display real-time newsflashes that trigger automatically when specific events occur on a Salesforce object.

KB-03478 steps Last verified

Use this article when you want to display real-time newsflashes in Hoopla that automatically trigger when specific events occur in Salesforce. This allows you to celebrate wins, track milestones, or broadcast important updates based on your Salesforce data.

  1. Navigate to the Hoopla admin panel and select Newsflashes from the main menu.
  2. Click Create Newsflash and choose Streaming Newsflash as the type.
  3. In the trigger settings, select Salesforce as the data source.
  4. Choose the Salesforce object you want to monitor (such as Opportunity, Lead, or a custom object).
  5. Configure the trigger conditions that determine when the newsflash displays.
  6. Design your newsflash template using the available Salesforce field merge tags.
  7. Set the display duration and screen targeting options.
  8. Click Save and then Activate to enable the newsflash.

After activating your streaming newsflash, trigger a test event in Salesforce that meets your configured conditions. The newsflash should display on your targeted screens within a few seconds. Check that all merge fields populate correctly with data from your Salesforce object.

If your newsflash does not trigger or displays incorrectly:

  • Verify that your Salesforce integration connection is active and authenticated in Hoopla settings
  • Confirm that the Salesforce user account has read permissions for the object you selected
  • Check that your trigger conditions match the test event you created in Salesforce
  • Review the Salesforce integration setup documentation to ensure all configuration steps were completed

If problems persist after verifying these items, contact Displai support with your Salesforce object type and trigger configuration details.
