Create and understand presentations

When to use this

Use this article when you need to understand what presentations are in Displai and how they work as the fundamental building blocks of your screen content. This applies whether you’re creating your first playlist or managing a library of hundreds of presentations.

Steps

1. Navigate to your Displai Library to view all available presentations.
2. Choose an app that matches the type of content you want to display (Pictures for PNG/JPG files, YouTube for video content, PosterMyWall for designs, etc.).
3. Create your presentation using the selected app and configure its settings.
4. Set the Duration for how long the presentation should display on screen before moving to the next item in the playlist.
5. Add the presentation to your desired playlist.
6. Review the duration of each presentation in the playlist before publishing to ensure it plays as expected.

Verify

Your presentation appears in your Displai Library and can be added to playlists. When added to a playlist and published to a screen, it displays for the duration you specified before transitioning to the next presentation.

If it doesn’t work

• Presentation not saving: If you see a note about updating to the latest app version when editing an older presentation, save your changes to apply the update. Apps are updated over time to add features and fix bugs.
• Duration too short or long: Edit the presentation and adjust the Duration setting. Review all presentations in the playlist to ensure smooth transitions.
• Wrong content type: Verify you selected the correct app for your content type (Pictures for images, YouTube for videos, etc.).
