Display MapsPeople on your screens

When to use this

Use this guide to display MapsPeople’s MapsIndoors wayfinding maps on your Displai screens. This integration allows visitors to navigate indoor facilities like offices, recreation centers, and campuses through interactive maps on kiosks or traditional digital signage screens.

Steps

1. Contact sales@displai.ai to enable the MapsPeople premium app on your plan.
2. Log in to your MapsPeople CMS account.
3. Navigate to your MapsPeople CMS to retrieve your configuration values:
   • API Key: Create an API Key from your MapsPeople dashboard to load your map data
   • Location ID: Find this in the “Location Details” panel under the “Details” tab
   • Optional settings: Configure Legend, Starting zoom, Pitch, Bearing, and Duration (defaults to 60 seconds)
4. Open your Displai dashboard and navigate to the Library page.
5. Click the green “Create” button to open your app list.
6. Select MapsPeople from the available apps.
7. Enter your API Key and Location ID from step 3.
8. Configure any optional display settings (legend, zoom level, pitch, bearing, duration).
9. Click “Save” and “Done” to save your configuration.
10. Create or edit a playlist and add the configured MapsPeople app to it.
11. Publish the playlist to your target screens.

Verify

Your MapsPeople map should display on the published screens within the playlist refresh interval. Visitors should be able to interact with the wayfinding interface on kiosk screens.

If it doesn’t work

MapsPeople app not visible in Library: Confirm the premium app has been added to your plan by contacting support@displai.ai.

Map fails to load: Verify your API Key and Location ID are correct in your MapsPeople CMS. API Keys must have proper permissions to load map data.
