Track multiple people at the same time using DeepSight Toolkit

When to use this

Use this article when you need to track multiple people simultaneously in your Displai analytics workspace. DeepSight Toolkit is designed for multi-person scenarios, making it ideal for retail foot-traffic analysis, event monitoring, and customer engagement measurement.

Steps

1. Open your Displai workspace and navigate to Analytics > DeepSight Toolkit.
2. Verify that DeepSight Toolkit is enabled for your location or screen.
3. Position your camera to capture the area where multiple people will be present.
4. Start your tracking session—the Toolkit automatically detects and tracks multiple individuals in the camera’s field of view.
5. Review real-time analytics to confirm that multiple people are being tracked correctly.

Verify

Check the DeepSight analytics dashboard to confirm that individual person counts and tracking paths are displayed for each detected person. You should see separate tracking IDs or visual indicators for each individual in the camera frame.

If it doesn’t work

• Camera placement: Ensure your camera has a clear, unobstructed view of the tracking area and adequate lighting.
• Field of view: Verify that all people you want to track are within the camera’s field of view and not too far from the lens.
• Hardware compatibility: Confirm your camera meets the minimum resolution and frame-rate requirements for DeepSight Toolkit.
• If tracking accuracy degrades with large crowds, contact support to discuss camera placement optimization or hardware upgrades.
