Create and publish playlists to screens

When to use this

Use this guide to create a new playlist, add presentations to it, and publish it to one or more screens. Playlists control what content plays on your screens and in what order. Once published, a screen plays through all presentations in the playlist from beginning to end, then loops back to the start.

Steps

Create a playlist

1. Navigate to your Library page.
2. Click the green Create button.
3. Select Create a Playlist.
4. Name your playlist immediately—use the screen location (e.g., “Lobby Menu Board”) or time period (e.g., “Holiday Weekend”) to make it easy to find later.

Add content to your playlist

1. Click the green Add button at the top of the playlist builder.
2. Select one or more presentations or playlists from your existing library, or click Create to upload new content.
3. Click Add to Playlist to confirm.
4. Drag and drop items to rearrange them in the order you want.
5. Click any item to edit its duration.
6. Click Save, then Done to save your playlist.

Note

If you’re using Windows and cannot drag presentations to reorder them, use a touchscreen as a workaround. Contact support if this issue persists.

Publish your playlist to screens

1. Go to the Screens page.
2. Verify each screen shows the playlist you want it to display.
3. To change a screen’s playlist, click the Playlists button next to the screen, select the correct playlist, and click Assign.
4. Once all screens show the correct playlists, click Publish All to send the changes to your screens.

Verify

Your screens will begin playing the new playlist content within a few moments of publishing. Check each screen to confirm the correct presentations are displaying in the expected order.

If it doesn’t work

• Playlist not appearing on screen: Verify you clicked Publish All after assigning the playlist. Changes don’t take effect until you publish.
• Cannot drag presentations on Windows: Try using a touchscreen device to reorder items. If the issue persists, contact support.
• Screen shows wrong playlist: Return to the Screens page, verify the correct playlist is assigned to that screen, and click Publish All again.
• Presentations not playing in order: Open the playlist in the Library, verify the order in the playlist builder, make any needed changes, save, and republish.
