Cannot add a team to another team in Hoopla
Fix a team that's missing from the list when you build nested teams by removing the circular reference in your hierarchy.
When to use this
Section titled “When to use this”You are creating nested teams in Hoopla (for example, a “Sales Team” that includes “Sales Development Reps” and “Account Executives”), but you cannot see a specific team in the list of available teams to add.
This occurs when adding the team would create a self-referencing loop.
- Review your team hierarchy to identify circular references.
- Check whether the team you are trying to add already includes the parent team (directly or through another nested team).
- Remove the circular reference by restructuring your team hierarchy.
- Return to the team configuration screen and add the team again.
Verify
Section titled “Verify”The team now appears in the list of available teams to add, and you can successfully save the nested team configuration.
If it doesn’t work
Section titled “If it doesn’t work”If you have verified there is no circular reference and the team still does not appear:
- Confirm you have admin permissions to manage both teams.
- Check whether the team you are trying to add has been archived or deleted.
- Escalate to support if the issue persists after verifying the above.
