What are Watchers in Hoopla?
Understand how Watchers can view leaderboards and newsflashes, and get notifications, without appearing in rankings or triggering them.
Watchers are users who can see, but are not included in the scoring.
You can designate users as Watchers on Leaderboards, Newsflashes and Channels. Those users are able to view the data without being included in the ranking or triggering a newsflash.
A Watcher of a Leaderboard will be able to view the Leaderboard rankings in the web and mobile apps. He or she will also see updates about any challenges, such as Faceoffs, occurring between players on that Leaderboard.
A Watcher of a Newsflash will receive push notifications on his or her mobile device when any of the Players assigned to that Newsflash trigger it (provided that the Watcher has installed the Hoopla Mobile app). The Watcher will also be able to view those posted Newsflashes in their Activity tab.
A Watcher of a Channel can use the “Watch Channels” section to view a channel for up to 10 hours at a time.
