Display your Hoopla channel on Displai screens

When to use this

Use this guide when you need to add your Hoopla channel to a Displai screen. This is typically done after your Hoopla administrator has created a channel and shared the URL with you.

Steps

1. Obtain your Hoopla channel URL. This URL is typically sent to you by your team’s Hoopla administrator via email or message. The URL will look similar to tv.engage.raydiant.com/#/abc1234, where the final portion is a seven-character string of letters and numbers.

2. Log in to your Displai screen management dashboard.

3. Create a new Hoopla channel presentation in Displai.

4. Paste the complete Hoopla channel URL into the “channel URL” field.

5. Adjust the presentation name and duration if needed. This is especially important if your Displai account displays multiple presentations alongside Hoopla.

6. Save the presentation and assign it to your desired screen(s).

Verify

Your Hoopla channel should now appear on your assigned Displai screens. Check the screen to confirm the content is displaying correctly.

If it doesn’t work

• Invalid URL error: Verify you copied the entire channel URL, including the domain prefix. The URL should contain a seven-character alphanumeric string at the end.
• Channel not displaying: Confirm the presentation is assigned to the correct screen and that the screen is powered on and connected.
• Need to create a channel: If you are a Hoopla administrator and need help creating channels, escalate to your customer success team for guidance on channel creation.
