Display videos on your Displai screens

Upload video files and publish them to your Displai screens, and fix broken uploads or unsupported video formats.

KB-01696 steps Last verified

Use this guide when you want to upload and display video content on your Displai screens. The Video application is included free for all customers and requires no activation.

  1. From your Library, click the + icon to create a new presentation, then click Upload Video.
  2. Select one or more videos from your computer to upload.
  3. Wait until the upload completes. You will see a spinning wheel on the top left corner of the video while it is uploading.
  4. Once the video uploads, open the presentation builder. Name your video presentation and mute the video if desired.
  5. Click Save and Done.
  6. Add the presentation to your playlist, assign the playlist to your desired screens, and click Publish to send it out.
  • The video appears in your Library without a red warning icon.
  • The video plays on your assigned screens after publishing the playlist.

Broken presentation with red warning icon: This indicates a partially uploaded file. Closing or refreshing the browser tab during upload interrupts the process. Delete the broken presentation and re-upload the video, keeping the browser tab open until the spinning wheel disappears.

Video format not supported: The platform supports most WEBM, MOV, and MP4 videos at 1080p resolution. MOV or MP4 files using the ProRes codec are not supported. Re-export your video as a standard 1080p QuickTime or MP4 file.

Playlist will not publish: Broken presentations prevent a playlist from publishing. Check your Library for any presentations with red warning icons and remove or replace them before attempting to publish again.
