Use this guide to create and display digital menus on your Displai screens. The Menus app lets you build visual menus with images, categories, items, variants, and pricing—ideal for restaurants, cafes, and food service locations.

  1. From your Library, click the + icon to create a new presentation, then click Create Menu.

  2. Enter a descriptive name for your menu presentation so you can easily find it later.

  3. Click Image and upload the picture you want to use as your menu background.

  4. Select whether to display animations—if enabled, your uploaded image will move on screen.

  5. Add menu content by creating categories (like Appetizers, Entrees, Beverages), items within each category (like french fries, chicken wrap, cold brew), and variants for size or customization options (like cheese fries, buffalo chicken wrap, vanilla sweet cream cold brew).

  6. Choose your image layout between default and flip.

  7. Optionally enable a QR code if you want customers to access your website or online menu.

  8. Select a theme that matches your location’s style—Menus offers several visual themes with different looks and feels.

  9. Customize font sizes, margin sizes, and set the presentation duration (default is 60 seconds).

  10. Click Save and Done.

  11. Add the menu presentation to a playlist, assign that playlist to your desired screens, and click Publish to send it live.

Your menu should appear on the assigned screens within a few moments of publishing. Check one of your screens to confirm the menu displays with the correct images, categories, items, and pricing.

  • Menu not showing on screens: Confirm the playlist containing your menu is assigned to the correct screens and has been published.
  • Images not displaying: Verify your images are in JPG, PNG, or GIF format—these are the supported formats.
  • Animation not working: Animated GIFs are supported; try using a different GIF or disabling animations in step 4.
