Use this guide when you need to prepare images for your Displai menu app. The correct resolution depends on your screen orientation and the aspect ratio of your image. Following these guidelines ensures your menu images display properly without being cut off.

  1. Determine your image aspect ratio (taller-than-wide or wider-than-tall).
  2. If your image is taller than it is wide
    • Prepare an image with a height of 1080 pixels
    • Keep the width to less than 600 pixels to prevent cropping
    • Displai will automatically place this image to the right of your menu
  3. If your image is wider than it is tall
    • Prepare an image with a width of 1920 pixels
    • Keep the height to less than 360 pixels to prevent cropping
    • Displai will automatically place this image at the top of your menu

Your menu image displays correctly without any portions cut off, and the image is positioned appropriately (either to the right or at the top of your menu, depending on its aspect ratio).

  • Image is cut off: Double-check that your image dimensions fall within the recommended maximums for your screen orientation and image aspect ratio.
  • Not sure about screen orientation: You may need to rotate your screen settings to match your physical display orientation.
  • Image appears distorted: Verify that you maintained the aspect ratio when resizing your image; avoid stretching or squashing the image to fit dimensions.

If your images continue to display incorrectly after following these guidelines, contact Displai support for assistance.
