Create a catalog synced with Square POS in Displai

When to use this

Use this procedure when you want to pull your Square POS catalog items into Displai so you can display them on digital signage. This is typically the first step after setting up your Square integration.

Steps

1. Navigate to Catalogs in the left-side menu of your Displai dashboard.
2. Click Add Catalog.
3. Enter a catalog name that represents your restaurant or brand (for example, “Main Menu” or your business name).
4. Select an existing Square integration from the dropdown, or click Add a new integration if you have not yet connected Square.
5. Click Save.
6. Wait for the system to sync with Square and pull in your catalog items.

Verify

After the sync completes, you will see your Square catalog items displayed in the Displai catalog view. The item list should match what you have configured in your Square POS system.

If it doesn’t work

No items appear after sync: Confirm that your Square account contains active catalog items. If Square is empty, no items will sync.

Cannot add a new integration: You must set up a Square integration before creating a catalog. Refer to related articles on Square POS setup and payment terminal pairing.

Sync takes longer than expected: Large catalogs may take a few minutes to sync. Wait at least five minutes before troubleshooting. If the sync does not complete after ten minutes, escalate to support.
