Remove a screen that still appears in your dashboard after you return the device or end its subscription.
When to use this
Section titled “When to use this”Use this procedure when you have returned a device or ended a subscription, but the screen still appears in your dashboard. Devices are automatically removed once received, so manual removal is only necessary if the device persists in your dashboard after return.
- Navigate to the screen you want to remove in your Displai dashboard and click the gear icon.
- Scroll down in the pop-up window that appears on the bottom right of the screen.
- Click the red “Remove Screen” button.
- Type “remove” in the confirmation field.
- Click the red “Remove” button to confirm the removal.
Verify
Section titled “Verify”The screen will immediately disappear from your dashboard after confirmation. If you manage multiple locations, verify the screen has been removed from the correct location view.
If it doesn’t work
Section titled “If it doesn’t work”- You cannot see the Remove Screen option: Verify you have super administrator permissions (to remove screens from all locations) or location-level permissions (to remove screens from your assigned locations). If you believe you have the correct permissions but still cannot see the option, escalate to your account administrator.
- You removed the wrong screen: Contact support immediately if you accidentally removed an active screen. You may need to re-activate the device through the initial setup process.
- The screen reappears after removal: This may indicate the device is still checking in or there is a sync issue. Wait 10 minutes and refresh your dashboard. If the screen persists, escalate to support.
