📅 Calendar Event

Automated announcements triggered by user profile dates:

  • Birthday
  • Work Anniversary
  • New Hire

📺 Channel

A playlist made up of individual content blocks called steps. Channels can display:

  • Performance metrics
  • Celebrations (like Newsflashes)
  • Messaging (like Posts)

🧑‍💻 Huddle

A personal dashboard for each user. Displays:

  • Upcoming birthdays & work anniversaries
  • Newsflashes
  • Direct messages

📈 Metric

The foundation of performance tracking in Hoopla. Metrics measure KPIs like:

  • Calls made
  • Sales closed
  • Meetings held
🔑 Note: Metrics are the only way to bring data into Hoopla.
 

🔗 Metric Mapping

Connects a Hoopla metric name with a specific data source. Enables automated updates.


🎯 Metric Step

A step in a Channel that displays a metric's progress toward a goal.

Formats include:

  • Number
  • Progress Bar
  • Gauge

🎉 Newsflash

Celebratory alert triggered by a metric achievement.

Can include:

  • Sound
  • Custom images
  • Personalized video

📊 Performance Console

A user or team dashboard showing:

  • Monthly/Quarterly performance graphs
  • Work anniversaries
  • Accumulated points
  • Trophy case

📢 Post (Channel)

A messaging step within a Channel.

Choose from 5 templates to display general messages that stay in the playlist.


✉️ Post (Huddle)

Messages shown in the Huddle screen.

Can be:

  • Sent directly to a user
  • Sent as a Newsflash to a Channel

🪜 Step

Any individual content block within a Channel.

Examples:

  • Metric Step
  • Newsflash
  • Post

🔀 Shuffle

Rotates tagged assets (images, videos, etc.) randomly when the step appears in a Channel.


🏷️ Tag

A label or folder used to organize assets (images, videos, etc.) into groups.


🎬 Transition

A visual slide between steps. Can be:

  • A fade (standard)
  • An image or video with sound
Players can upload personal YouTube or video clips to their profile for use in Newsflashes.

👀 Watcher

A user with view-only access to Hoopla content.

  • Not included in Leaderboards
  • Can access content via the app or website
  • Typically an Admin, Manager, or Fan
