🖼️ Add Custom Content in Hoopla
Make your Hoopla TV Channel reflect your company’s culture by adding Custom Content. This is a great way to personalize your channel and boost engagement among viewers.
📥 How to Upload Custom Images or Videos
You can upload your own files while configuring a channel lineup.
👉 Steps to Add Custom Content:
- In Channel Configuration, click on a step in your Lineup.
- In the right panel, click the thumbnail of either the Transition or Background—depending on what you want to customize.
- In the modal that appears, click Upload Custom in the bottom-left corner.
- Choose the file you'd like to upload from your computer.
💡 Hot Tip: Upload custom marketing slides or internal announcements as image files, then use them in an Image step for a polished, on-brand message.
🏷️ Tagging and Organizing Custom Files
Once your custom file is uploaded, it will be automatically labeled with the "Custom" tag.
To Add Custom Tags:
- After uploading, go to the Tags section in the content modal.
- Click into the “Add tags” field and type your tag name.
- Click the ➕ Plus icon to save the tag.
- Your custom tag will appear in the top-left tag list, and can now be used to filter or organize content.
✨ You can also add or update custom tags at any time by selecting a custom file and using the Add Tag option.
🔒 Note: Custom tags can only be added to Custom Content, not built-in assets.

🔍 How to View All Custom Files
To see all your uploaded content:
- Open the content modal.
- Use the filter option and select "Custom" to view your uploads.
